Kitchen remodeling services

We remodel kitchens as a licensed general contractor, so cabinetry, utilities, structural work, and finishes can be handled as one project.

Layout and open-concept kitchens

Kitchen layouts changed through wall removal, new openings, islands, relocated appliances, and adjusted plumbing or electrical where the project requires it.

Materials and finishes

Cabinetry

Cabinet boxes, doors, hardware, and trim installed to fit the room and the final layout.

Surfaces

Countertops, backsplashes, and tile measured and fabricated around the completed cabinetry and actual room dimensions.

Details

Fixtures and lighting selected early enough for plumbing, electrical, blocking, and installation requirements to be built into the room.

Kitchen remodeling questions

How much does a kitchen remodel cost?
It depends on the room's size, whether the layout changes, and the fixtures and finishes chosen, so we do not publish a price list. We come to the house, measure, and put one price and a schedule in writing before any work starts.
How does a kitchen remodel run, from start to finish?
In the same eight phases on every job: preconstruction, procurement, demo and site prep, rough-in and inspections, walls and surfaces, finish installation, trim-out, and close out. Our Remodel Handbook walks through each one, with its typical length and what we need from you along the way.
Can you remove a wall to open up the kitchen?
Yes. As a licensed general building contractor (Class B) we take on layout changes, wall removal and the structural, plumbing and electrical work they involve, with permits where required.
Do you install the cabinets and countertops yourselves?
Cabinetry and countertops are part of the remodel we manage, measured and fitted to the finished room rather than ordered to a guess.
Do you pull the permits for a kitchen remodel?
Yes, where the work needs them, and we manage the application and the inspections. Forestville, Guerneville, Occidental, Graton, Monte Rio, Bodega Bay and Penngrove are unincorporated, so their permits go through Permit Sonoma; Sebastopol, Windsor, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, Cotati, Petaluma and Sonoma have their own building departments.
